  • Burger King's Halloween whopper has a seriously scary effect

    By Mirror.co.uk

Quickly it has become evident that the true horror of the burger is far worse than the grim black food coloring used for the bun

Trick or treat: With this burger - you'll get both

Burger King's Halloween burger was launched last week to the cheers of burger fans.

But quickly it has become evident that the true horror of the burger is far worse than the grim black food coloring used for the bun.

People are reporting very strange happenings - and it's all about when, erm, it's been through your digestive system.

The treat may have been the whopper but the trick, it seems, is that poop is coming out bright GREEN.

And we're not just talking a shade of dark, khaki green.

The evidence we have seen online - too crude to reveal here - really does depict a very bright, ghoulish green end product.

The eerie effect is having varying levels of reception among those who have tested the burger.

There are some that have sworn that the green by-product was too much to take...

While others - although mystified by the brightness of their poop - gave the burger a solid thumbs up.
Yo @BurgerKing your Halloween Whopper turned my poop SUUUUPER green! It was bomb tho.— BootnyLeeFarnsworth (@PopStarWill) September 30, 2015

The spookiest part of the Burger King Halloween Whopper is the fact that it makes your poop ectoplasmic green.— FATHER | ROIJU (@Roiju_) October 2, 2015

Took like three days for my poop to stop being green, but was totally worth it, @BurgerKing— Toasty (@ImHunterStanton) October 5, 2015
Burger King has not yet said anything about the 'fun' side effect of the Halloween burger, and Mirror Online has reached out for comment.

McDonald's unveils new gray bun. So what color will it turn your poop?

The Burger King one was obviously accomplished with food dye, and probably a large amount of it. The McDonald's one could theoretically be accomplished by changing out the flour, maybe using black sesame in it, and cooking the bread for a shorter time. As it's fast-food, I'd wager the color is at least evened out with a bit of dye, but they likely don't need a poop-altering amount of it.
