Never heard of it. Does it include things involving memory editing or file editing for games? Or just things like the old Konami code?

I had to check, it's a program with lists, but it looks incredibly small at the moment and mostly has PC games with mixes of cheats and walk-thrus. There's less than 500 games currently. There's very few PS2/PS3/PSP/Xbox/Xbox360 codes.

The first thing I saw on that site when I clicked on it was K-Lite codec pack. That thing is so ancient I thought the use of it was permanently gone by 2003, don't know why anybody would need that these days when they can just grab VNC player.

            CheatBook February 2016

CheatBook is a massive database of text information regarding cheats, tips & tricks, walk throughs and Easter eggs from thousands of video games released in the last years. You can find both PC and console games in the list, although it is obviously easier to use cheats in PC games, given the fact that you have a keyboard that allows you to type various passwords and cheat codes. On the other hand, walk throughs are available for any type of game, regardless of platform.

Every bit of information is stored and displayed in plain text form, which makes it very easy to use the data as you see fit, or even export it in other purposes. Granted, this might make it a tad difficult to handle if you are a beginner when it comes to computers, but at least it's very easy to access and read. The games are also very well sorted, and there is a search function that can be used to find what you are looking for in record time.

In case you are wondering what happened to all the other cheats and walk throughs that were available in previous CheatBook versions, they are still available, except that you must download the whole database first. This can be done from within the application and it only takes a few clicks, although you should know that it can be a tad more difficult to handle so many games at once.

The fuck is a VNC player? You mean VLC?

Anyways, it looks like what you saw was a adsense banner which displayed one of k-lite's ads. No big deal, just use adblock.
