  • Codebreaker PS1 question

I can't tell what codebreaker for PS1 I got. Nothing about version number on the disc and I can't find anything when I boot it up. It asks for a X-Key and the options seem to reset when exiting the menu (I don't have a PS1 memory card right now, nor the X-Key). So what version do I likely have?

    I bought it here:

The link may say PS2, but the disc says PS 1 and all the games on the disc are PS1 games.

So does it save codes and option selections on the PS1 memory card then? I'm trying to figure out if mine will too.

yes, my version does save codes to normal memory card.

you have not tell us what version you have?

can you take a screenshot and upload the picture here?

I pressed Select and it gave me this:

              Xploder 9000 (c) 2000 FCD
              Release 3.00

It's strange that it reports like that. I wouldn't be shocked if a CodeBreaker that's that old showed an Xploder version, but as we're years out from the last time one of those rolled off a production line, I also wouldn't be shocked if somebody sold you a knock-off. In any case, most information for Xploder CD 9000 should be relevant to that. It's certainly where the X-Key crap comes from.

Well, it seems to work, I just gotta get a PS1 memory card. One is on the way in the mail.
