  • My Retro Game Box delivers classic games to your doorstep

    By Dennis Scimeca

How would you like a box of retro games delivered to your house once a month, guaranteed to work and never including games from genres you don’t like?

That’s the elevator pitch for My Retro Game Box. Your monthly delivery of old-school goodness may include games from the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive, and Sega Genesis, as well as the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance.

Katy, “an obsessive retro games collector,” will be responsible for putting together your monthly delivery. When you subscribe to the service she will contact you to ask about what consoles you own, what games you already have, and what kinds of games you like in order to personalize your delivery. This is easily the coolest aspect of the service.

My Retro Game Box promises that all of its games are tested to make sure they function, and that it'll keep track of what you’ve previously been shipped to make sure you never receive duplicates. It also has a Console Shop that sells retro game consoles.

My Retro Game Box serves both the PAL and NTSC regions, with separate store sections for each. If you’re in North America, you’re NTSC.

Subscriptions are offered for three, six, and 12 months, for £65.00, £125.00, and £230.00 respectively, which by today’s conversion rates work out to around $95, $183, and $337 respectively.

Why waste that much money on retro games, when you can get the same exact games...for FREE (from sites whose names shall NOT be spoken...heh heh)? You just have to know where to look.

Time flies, therefore, seize the day.
