  • playing video games should count for something on a job application!

"I am really good at video games" says that THIS is definitley the guy you want to work for your company. To be really good at video games I mean lets face it you have to have high power of concentration, be able to stick with a task untill it is completed, you need great problem solving skills, insanely quick reflexes often help, you need to be able to read well, and be able to follow instructions precisely. Sure, maybe I don't have a phd, but "I" can beat "Carnage heart"Can any of the other applicants top that?;D

Carnage heart? Tell me and I shall beat it//

Try Black on Black Ops mode, Ninja Gaiden Black on it's hardest, or perhaps Penance in FFX.

Heh, maybe if you could show credentials concerning VG highscore records...or the interview included a VG performance test with games made by the company specifically for interviews...

carnage heart (psx) may not be the hardest game to beat but it is one of the hardest to play. Imagine playing armoured core but you control teams of mechs on a strategical level. You must also control production and lobby with developers. Now here is the kicker, you don't control the individual mechs when in combat! You program them through a complex series of flow charts that you create with "computer chips" which determines how they behave in combat. (Don't buy this game unless you get BOTH of the booklets that it comes with. The second disc is just an overview/summary of the gameplay). Your program determines how they behave in combat. Maybe your program says to radar scan full sweep 50 meters for enemy units, if any enemy units then fire main weapon. Oops!, did you tell it to check and see if it has main weapon ammo? I think you get the point. Your programming skills are a major key to this game.

There are several sequels but all are Japanese > Another injustice to the rest of the world).

Heh, sounds like F2C2 for computer. Developed by Military scientists to stump everyone. I couldn't beat the second level of the crazy RTS hybrid thing.

Carnage Heart sounds quite an interesting game, but probably extremely hard to find, even when they were still making it. Which I'm thinking is quite unfortunate. Heh... I know, we find the Japanese sequels and translate them...

Hard games: Command and Conquer: Retaliation on the PSX, Deus Ex with the hardcore mod, LoD with the Zy-el mod. Gouls n Ghosts, Alex the kid in miracle world, Zelda: MM WITHOUT A GUIDE. And my personal fav: Robocop Vs Termaninator for the genesis.
