Jason Voorhees will kill again in Mortal Kombat X

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is confirming the details of the season pass for Mortal Kombat X, which will begin offering content as soon as the game launches.

The Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack will include access to four playable characters that are currently still in development, one of which will be the terror of Friday the 13th, Jason Voorhees. The remaining collection of characters will be comprised of two Klassic Mortal Kombat Kombatants and an additional special guest character.

Those who purchase the Kombat Pack will also receive the Samurai Pack, which contains three new character skins: Ronin Kensi, Samurai Shinnok, and Jingu Kitana as well as an accompanying skin pack with each playable character. The Kombat Pack will also give its owners early access to future DLC content prior to it going on sale individually.

SPOILER ALERT (for those who haven't played through MK9's story mode):

Shinnok DID make a brief appearance (in ghost form) to Quan Chi, following Shao Kahn's defeat by Elder God-enhanced Raiden.
It was revealed that Shao Kahn was but a pawn in Shinnok's diabolical plan to control both Outworld and Earthrealm.
