  • A Few Small Problems With The Witcher's Combat?

    By John Shepard

While The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt should end up being a legit Game of the Year contender, it appears it's not all roses.

Well, based on one source's feedback and well before the game release, of course.

According to French publication Jeux Video (and as translated by Z-Goichi), it seems the combat in CD Projekt Red's hugely anticipated RPG isn't perfect. It's described as being "more impressive than Assassin's Creed but not as fluid as Batman Arkham." They say the dodge is a little "soft" and the counter attack is too difficult to apply after dodging.

They also say there were some "crashes" which are oddly attributed to the graphics (perhaps a translation screw-up here). Either way, they think it's a good idea that the developers opted to delay the game; it was originally slated for February and now, it seems we know why it was pushed to May 19th.

We'd rather wait than be disappointed immediately, that's for sure.
