Some interesting (at least to me) facts regarding Tetris:

The lowest number of lines needed to reach 100,000 points, starting from level 0, is 76. You will need to score 19 consecutive Tetrises to do this, though (not an easy task, but possibly doable, given a favorable block sequence). You will need a minimum of 190 blocks (all I-pieces) to do this.

The lowest number of lines starting at level 19 to reach 100,000 is only 20--you will reach over 120,000 points with five consecutive Tetrises, requiring only 50 blocks (once again, all I-pieces).

Without any cheats, the minimum number of lines needed to cap the score, starting from level 19 (the highest level the game normally lets you start at), is 164. So far, the lowest number of lines scored at the capping point is 207. So, there is still some work to do.

To cap the score at such a "low" number of lines...requires getting NOTHING...BUT...TETRISES--41 in a row!

Note, however, that this is, in fact, doable by a very skilled Tetris player, as the highest level one needs to reach to complete the "perfect Tetris game" is only 22. I'm just throwing this challenge out there to anyone who is brave enough to try.
    Tempus fugit, ergo, carpe diem.

Time flies, therefore, seize the day.
