So I finally got a crossover cable and after many jumps, turns and twists I managed to set up openps2 loader 0.9.2 on my PS2 memcard, only that after following this tutorial I get the error cannot connect to SMB Server:300

Here's what I did:
I have a folder on the PC's HDD, named PS2SMB. After making sure the ISOs are properly named for OPL Ethernet use (look up ISO2OPL) and placed in the folder, run ipconfig and find your IP, as you'll need that to connect to your PC.
If you are running Windows 8, while configuring the Ethernet settings on OPL, use your computer's username and password. In my case, I used my computer's username, but used my Microsoft account's password, as that's what connected accounts could only use.
After setting all that up, go to the Ethernet Games page and start that up. It is best to set the Ethernet Game page to Manual, if you are plannig to not always use Ethernet, like myself, as I have the fat PS2 with a HDD in it.
Also, I'm not using a crossover, I am directly connected to my router. Even so, my router is being used for router-to-router setup (aka using a static IP for the router, so that it can receive Internet from another router via an Ethernet port). My router is currently using three Ethernet ports: first is ALWAYS the other router, second is my PC, third is the PS2.
Like I said, no need for a crossover.
