  • PS2rd with POPS PS2 Emulator

You can use PS1 Gameshark codes with PS2rd with the POPStarter PS1 emulator for PS2.

The PS2 wiz krHACKen over at assemblergames explained he did this:

"These codes are Raw PS1 GameShark codes converted to Raw PS2 Codebreaker codes.
POPS puts the virtual PS1 RAM at $01000000. So for porting PS1 Action Replay cheat codes, we have to add $01000000 to the adresses and comply with the code type definitions of the target PS2 cheat engine.
    Examples :
    PS1 code 800ABCDE 1234 = PS2 code 110ABCDE 00001234
    PS1 code 300EDCBA 0021 = PS2 code 010EDCBA 00000021"

here's the thread, he's got a code list there but it's pretty simple to convert codes:

I found out for myself that D0 type codes just need to be changed to D1

    pretty cool stuff!

You dont need Codebreaker anymore, POPStarter has a build in cheat engine now and support PS1 GameShark/Action Replay codes. No need to convert them anymore.

There is no need to use a cheat device now with POPStarter. It has his own cheat engine and supports PS1 Action Replay/Gameshark codes.

                    that link is broken here
                    https://bitbucket.org/ShaolinAssassin/popstarter-documentation-stuff/wiki/cheat-engine/

POPStarter support GameShark codetypes up to version 2.20

too bad not all C codetypes supported

                    the undocumented C3 codetype pointer

POPStarter built-in cheat engine is on the basic side
its hooked on POPS instead of game like with real PS1 with GS
its POPS does not refresh fast you like for your code to work properly

what about codetypes 30 and 50 ? for PS2 like this?

                      30000000 0000 = 31000000 0000FFFF

                      and

                      50000000 0000 = 51000000 0000FFFF
