  • SNES9x 1.53 By MPHC

Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only released in Japan.

Snes9x is the result of well over three years worth of part-time hacking, coding, recoding, debugging, divorce, etc. (just kidding about the divorce bit). Snes9x is coded in C++, with three assembler CPU emulation cores on the i386 Linux and Windows ports.

I don't understand,.. how is this different than the official Snes9X 1.53 that's already been out for years?

I was wondering the same. They also need to fix their cheating systems, they are a little buggy. I'm playing the Shin Chan games and notice that adding and deleting cheats is randomly replacing current cheats with wrong address and values or just deleting lines every single time I change something, and it's kind of pissing me off. Adding cheats seems slow too. I'd like to be able to add an entire range of addresses or select and modify multiple lines at the same time. If I modify the "cheat" instead of just the "value", value only allows me to input 1 digit. WTFs up with that? It's nothing important, but there's little bugs and problems all over the cheat related stuff. It's readme file says the cheats are stored in ".cht" documents in the cheats folder. I think there's a problem because me adding/deleting/modifying cheats and then closing the emulator and restoring it loads everything I just changed, but the .cht file is almost never changed and I can't figure out where it's actually storing the cheats. I was thinking to switch to BSNES, but I don't see any cheat options. I'm thinking I should just find a few of these codes with cheat engine so I can figure out the difference in address locations and then use that because it's a lot easier and there's no bugs, & watchpoints.

Most likely someone signup to FileTrip and upload Malware (Fake version of Emulators) and infect your computer for fun.
same way as spammers signup forums posting about fake sites
lee4 Does Not Accept Codes Requests !
When lee4 asks a question it does not mean lee4 will look at your game

check snes9x options / settings where is saving the save states, user settings & cht files are save there.
also cht files are ZSNES encrypted files

I didn't download it because of that reason, as well as no description was given of how it was different than the official Snes9X.

But I want to know why dlever posted this. I'm sure he knows that Snes9X 1.53 has already been released years ago and that everyone already knows about this emulator. (I don't believe any malice was intended... I'm just puzzled about the reason why he posted this. My guess is that there is something more to this post/emulator than we know.)

BSNES 0.70 last version had cheat finder.
Yep, version 0.70 is the last version of Bsnes that contained all the "eye candy" and many other features, options, settings, etc. Byuu stripped most of that out after that version. That's why I use Bsnes 0.70.

As for Snes9X, I've already posted which one I recommend using: http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/67...Not-Know-About . It's called Snes9X 1.53 Test Build. This is the version that has REWIND support!!! http://www.s9x-w32.de/dl/testbuilds/

I don't know a god damned thing about this. Old school gamer, don't question my motives about why I post something. You know damn well that I don't use emulators, I told you that before. I posted this on a slow news day, and this is the last time that I am going to explain one of my posts to you.
