  • Interactive Board Prompts Moves For Checkers And Chess

    By Bogdan Berg

Showcase of my hobby project: Smart Game Board

This board tracks game state, highlights possible moves, helps become familiar with the rules (teach kids how to play!) and prevents cheating. Currently available with International Checkers. Support for more games coming soon

Showing an example round of Checkers, along with an overview of the board development.

This is rather interesting...but wouldn't it give both players (of either chess or checkers) an unfair advantage over each other if it was somehow tweaked further? Letting players see what moves they can make is one thing, but I'm just a little bit uneasy about someone taking that a step further and trying to figure out the best moves.

No clue on that one. I had a chess computer once that would tell you what moves you could make if you were playing against it.
