USB security broken, will it be useful for PS3/PS4?

Yesterday the big news was the security for all USB devices is broken by German researchers. Their hack of the USB controller chip makes it possible to let an USB device think it is another device. This way it will be possible to connect a keyboard for example and let the computer think it is an USB flash drive. The claim is this hack is undetectable and the only protection against this is to use only brand new USB devices without connecting it ever to another computer as your own….
