I don't own a GSPro only AR CDX V3.3, i'll wait until you can upload it another format i've tried importing it with MemcardRex but it doesn't even see it in my folder like

    BESLES-00593CROC14
    Product code + Identifier

i've also tried converting it to .MCS using PSX Raw Converter but it told me 0x03 flag was wrong.

      Alright, will do.
I keep forgetting that you are in a PAL region, and it would be Pro Action Replay, not GSPro...

I don't know much of the CDX version, but If I'm not mistaken, the GameShark v4.0 disc image has CDX Utilities on it.
Might be worth looking at if there were multiple versions of the tools released.

I know that the saves can be interchanged between 3.0 and 3.2 for sure, If I had a 3.1 to test I'm sure it would also work.
Might release my future codes in a save, so Pro users won't have to type them in.

Thanks i'll have a look around for v4.0
GameShark v4.11A and Action Replay 4.2 are the same products under different names.
Sharklink is the AR CDX equivalent although they seem to have released it under GS branding as well wierd
as well a thai pro action replay cdx v3

Oh, I understand what you're sayin' now...
I knew that Memcard Rex would import this kind of save, because I've done it before.

Here's a little tip that could help quite a few people with many different programs.
          Code:
          *.*
          That's just a Star (Shift+8) a Period (.) and another Star

It's like a wildcard that simply means ALL

Here is it solving your problem of Rex not showing the attached file above (minus the .txt)

I managed to bypass the cdx check well sort of the code doesn't act quick enough with cheat engine or pec so it thinks it's being pulled in and out constantly, pec flicks it on found for breif second then returns to not found "i've tried it ar v4.20 and gs v5 but they don't have any effect " cheat engine got the furthest and it resulted in a currupt codes screen still it got further then not found screen maybe someone with more hacking knowledge than me "doesn't take much" can find out what's accessing it, pointer???
When the cdx is inserted it gives the value 00 and FF when it's not, the value stays at 00 for brief peroid during the initial animation screen before switching to FF for the check, the code also works on the gameshark cdx so other than the changed text and textures, game codes, the exe's are exactly the same with the same offsets.

              00 = CDX found.
              FF = CDX not found.
              --------------------------

                Nice work!

Seems like your makin' good progress.
I did a little searching on ebay and the cheapest complete CDX is $21 >.<
I would most likely want the new never opened one that's for $28, but I have too much else to buy first.

Does the v3.3 boot burnt disc's like the v4.0 does?

No you can only do a swap trick after starting a new game with or without codes whilst the ar disc is still spinning, I use a spring, if the swap isn't done quick enough it'll say the ar disc is still inserted so you have take out the backup and restart the process with the ar disc again it's not hard to do just take note of the drive speeds.

Thanks so much for making this thread. I have recently acquired my own GSP v3.2 along with an older PSX that still works fairly well. There is so little information about connecting it to a PC on the net. I've tried everything, but it still doesn't work:

                    * Used an older machine from around 2002 with WinXP that still has the LPT and COM ports
                    * Made sure the LPT BIOS was not set to bi-directional
                    * Made sure the device in the Device Manager was set for legacy support
                    * Downloaded 3 different versions of gscc along with the official AR "PlayStation Tools" and set them to run in Win98 compatibility mode
                    * Used 2 different DB25 cables
                    * Waited for the GS menu screen, and even tried the Select+Square button to enter the 'comms' screen
                    * Do most of these same things using a in Virtual PC running Win98 on the same machine

It reports very quickly that the "Console did not respond". All I can think to do now is buy another cable and try to find another old PC.

DB25 cables seem to come with different wiring arrangements. May I ask if anyone knows how their DB25 cable is wired, or if anyone have any other ideas of what I might try?

If you are running XP, you must also run TOTALIO.SYS to have full access to the port.
Here's the download of it, with a loader.

                      Edit:
Oh, and you should use a straight through cable, you can confirm if yours is with a multimeter.

As requested, here's the Explorer options in the GSPro:

                        Version 3.0

                        Version 3.1
Can't find the ROM... I would really like it if anyone can get a hold of it. Since the STR Viewer was removed in 3.2, I wonder if it's present in v3.1.

                        Version 3.2

The Video RAM Viewer is pretty much the same thing as F11 in pSX.

Thanks for that. Try asking xianaix he once had a full set of roms I think or Hanimar
he has the japanese one I think
                          http://psone.psx-scene.com/ - It's missing loads though.
I think 3.2 pro might of been the last version cos 3.30 pro is used by the N64.

Two on ebay atm if you wanna buy another one

Thanks for the help! It seems the cable should be working.

I used the TOTALIO.SYS loader, which "Installed" ok, but trying to start it game me the error "An unexpected error occured". I also noticed that the TOTALIO.SYS is different than the totalio.sys that comes with gscc2k and gscc2k_fix. Kept trying to install, remove, start, and stop the driver in various ways. Also tried different path variations. Somehow I managed to get it to start, although now I'm not sure which TOTALIO.SYS file was actually installed.

Along the way somehow gscc started 'detecting' my GSP with the message "Your device was successfully found, and settings set!" Unfortunately, like you mentioned in this post, it's always being detected as Caetla instead of GS 3.XX, and trying to do anything with gscc just causes it to hang forever.

The "PlayStation Version 3 Utilities" still doesn't detect the GSP with the error "Console did not respond".

I'm probably out of luck at this point, but again, thanks for helping.

Edit: I found a page that enlightened me on what totalio.sys is doing and how to check if it's been installed.

                            Installing "totalio.sys":
Extract "totalio.sys" to "C:\Windows\system32\drivers" directory (or equivalent).

                            Extract "loaddrv.exe" and run it.
In the edit box, type in the full path to "totalio.sys" eg. "C:\windows\system32\drivers\totalio.sys"
                            Click "Install".
                            Click "Start".
                            Click "OK".

The driver should now be running. You can check this by running "Start->Programs->
Accessories->System Tools->System Information", then clicking on the tree item "System Information->Software Environment->Drivers" and looking for "totalio" in the view on the right.
To start or stop the driver after it has been installed, you could use the "loaddrv.exe" program, or use the following commands in a command prompt:
"net start totalio" to start the driver.
"net stop totalio" to stop the driver.

You can configure the driver to run automatically on startup, but I wouldn't recommend it. You can do this via Device Manager, select "View->Show hidden devices" and look under "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" to find "totalio", look at its properties, and change the startup type from "Demand" to "Automatic" (NOT "Boot" or "System") in the "Driver" tab.

In your attached pic, the file won't start, 'cause you haven't finished filling out the path.

                              Your pic shows
                              C:\PSX\TOTALIO

but needs to show the full path to the file like so
                              C:\PSX\TOTALIO\TOTALIO.SYS

What is the reason your tryin' to get it to connect to the PC, just to hack games, or to mod the 'Pro?
My Desktop's port will work for the GSPro disc by Hanimar but never with the cheat searching tools.
Like I said in the post you linked above, I eventually had to get a laptop that was made for Windows 98 (but running XP) to work correctly.
I'm glad I did though, 'cause I've used that same port for flashing a Modem and something else I can't think of at the moment.
If you happen to run by a really cheap Dell Latitude CPt(s), I can confirm that it's a 'compatible' port to flash stuff with...

If you haven't already, try every configuration of the BIOS's port settings. I really can't remember which one was the one that worked for me.
I just checked the Laptop's settings, which worked last I tried, and it's setting is Bi-Directional (PS/2 Compatible).

The only options the Latitude has is:
                              Normal (AT-Compatible)
                              Bi-Directional (PS/2 Compatible)
                              ECP (Default)

I just wanted to say I think the ar / gs roms are actually PS-EXE's, I took a brief look at a decrypted one in a hexeditor and it had the all noticable header in it surrounded by either pointers or random garbage / dummy data, I guess it makes sense.
