    Hello!
    Could I request MAME codes here? Or at the very least could I request fixes for MAME codes??? Well, I'll give it a shot.

    Here's the situation:

    I'm working on having MAME versions of the three original MK games (MK1, MKII, and UMK3) to work on RetroArch for the Wii U. After all my tinkering I found that the games will work best with MAME 2003 (which is MAME version 0.78) and that cheat.dat for version 0.81 works best with all three games. The codes are pretty satisfactory but there is one code that I would like for all three games: Infinite Fatality Time. Even though these codes do exist and they DO work for later versions, they will not work for the cheat.dat and therefore not work with MAME 2003. These are the codes in question:


    Mortal Kombat (rev. 5.0 T-Unit 03/19/93)
    :mk:39900000:094228:0000C0F0:FFFFFFFF:Infinite Fatality Time

    Mortal Kombat II (rev. L3.1)
    :mk2:39900000:003EAC:0000C0F2:FFFFFFFF:Infinite Fatality Time

    Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (rev. 1.2)
    :umk3:39900000:0025AA:0000C0F2:FFFFFFFF:Infinite Fatality Time

    I tried using other MAME cores in RetroArch where these codes work but they either don't have the ability to use cheats or the games suffer severe slowdown. MAME 2003 is the only core that will work these games correctly. So is there any way to convert these codes so that they will work with the cheat.dat V0.81??? I noticed that the codes tend to be in a different format from the others (only a 0 in place of 39900000); I just wanted to get that out there.

    I wasn't sure if I could make such a request here. If I broke any rules, I am sorry. I can only hope for a good resolution. Thanks!
