My old PS1 finally took a dump on me (model 5501) and I've got an itch to run thru FF7 and Tactics. I have a Gameshark that plugs into the I/O port and was wondering what to buy to be able to plug it into my PS2 (model 39001 - full size). I've been able to read up some old forum posts on the web about similar subjects but they all seem to deal with PS2 slims. I live in Japan and the Japanese shops here won't deal with my US product (even though at the time of manufacture both my items were manufactured by Sony Japan, complete with Akasaka Tokyo address) and my PS2 AR max won't work with PS1 games which leaves me at an impasse of sorts.
To reiterate: Is it possible to buy/manufacture a converter so the Gameshark pro v3.1 will plug into the ps2 port?
