If you have a .sfc (snes rom) and your emulator doesn't support .sfc, and you want to convert it to .smc (or viceversa). Step 1. Right click in the .sfc file, Step 2. Click properties, Step 3. Rename the file extension to .smc or .sfc (depending the purpose you want, E.G emulator that doesn't support .smc or .sfc) Why i wrote this? Because i want to run Mega Man x3 on lolsnes (ds). If you're wanting to rename (not convert) a large batch of files, a program such as Ant Renamer works great:
