This stage modifier is unusual and glitches up the
title screen! Whatever stage you put into XX will change the title screen into that stage's background. The game will then load the stage after showing some slightly glitchy graphics.

      • So after alot of trial and error I actualy managed to get through things in level 2 without using any cheats (an annoying process that's about as fun as trying to dig through a mountain using a toothpick because the 3rd guy pretty much recquires you to get hit several times to even be able to finish him off and the 4th guy only has a split second window where you can grab him before he jumps up and does his unavoidable move that you can only avoid if there is enough space between you and him, which if you tried attacking him there simply isn't because he can hit you on a quarter of the screen, and then of course if you're close to a wall you pretty much have no option to avoid dammage) and the game still loops back to 2-1. I realy don't understand this.

I'd realy appreciate if someone could give us a way to skip to level 3 because this game is realy terrible.

Oh, thanks for that. Might make the game slightly less unbearable.

Edit: Nevermind. The boss just appears out of nowhere. Go figure.

You do a high jump. Press down and then up.

Incidently, that other code, well....uhm I sort of got to it myself and, well, it kinda sorta makes you loop between the various sections of that specific level forever.

                  • Also, while playing the game through again it looped back even on level 1.

                    That is truly odd.

                      Yep. The game is strange.

Got these two but they don't seem to change the levels.

                      • Oddly enough it does the exact same thing on a different version of Fceux with a newly downloaded file. Using your cheats I end up looping back to 1-1.

It might be something to do with FCEUX and it's playing FDS software I do remember that two days ago when I loaded up Ginga Denshou and then quit and tried loading something else it just kept loading the same game even when I turned it off and restarted.

                        • Update, managed to get a cleaner looking version of stage 4 after continuing. But this still doesn't change the fact I can't seem to access the fight at the end of stage 2 and stage 3 entierly for some reason.

Okay, going back to an older state that did progress to the fighting section I was able to use the level modifier to get to the stage 2 ring fight, clear it and get a clean version of stage 3 as well.

                          • Sorry for the tripple post, but I just managed to finish it. I'm not sure if it's the game, but I do know I got to stage 2 normaly before so it might be something to do with my setup and me using the code etc. Anyway I couldn't do it without the level modifier (once again, the key seems to be to use it just before a level transition) by Rune, as well as the two cheats for unlimited time and health. The last side scroller boss is ridiculous and would be nearly impossible without these.

My point is if anyone wants I have clean FCeux saves for levels 3 and 4, in case the problem is recurring and I could upload them to a file sharing servive of your choice if you need it.

If you don't mind trying NEStopia, that might do the trick. FCE Ultra is my primary go-to but there are some FDS/J games that cannot run properly in that emulator yet they are silky smooth in the former program. Experienced the same thing on two separate SNES emulators too.

Also some games just suck and certain modifiers will never function to our hackers' satisfaction. 'Thems the breaks!

You know, when a good game screws up before the last level and you have to do it all over again, or an incredibly annoying and very bad game glitches out mid-way through, which is worse ? :P

Still the game did go on to stage 2 before, so it just puzzles me immensely it would do that with a different version of the game file and a different version of the emulator. It might be the cheats but at this point I am sure as hell not gonna go back and try playing the game again without them, I spent two days on the damned thing and that's far more then anyone ought to.

Oh and I discovered that I got modifiers to work mostly by activating them right before ending a level, but that isn't how they're supposed to work is it ?

On the subject of NEStopia I think I used it before. That and NesterJ.
