I can see how it would be inconvenient on real hardware. If I knew what the button code was it would be a fairly simple operation, most codes like that work on a simple on/off type of switch depending on if the code was entered or not, without knowing the button operation this would be rather difficult.

Looking for a PAR/GG code that would activate the "use bosses" button code (if it even exists) in the JP version.

While great that character mod codes exist, it's rather inconvenient when used on real hardware.

Little confused what your asking for, if your looking for an actual button input code for Dead Dance that would be pretty hard for me to find, there might be some evidence of it in the ROM but it might be hard to find if it's there at all. If you want to play as enemy characters helder has the P1 Character Modifier already in the main database. I could surely find similar codes for Tuff E Nuff if its a port over, they might already work.

The SNES version of this game (Tuff E Nuff) has a button-input code that will allow you to select the boss characters in the 1p VS CPU mode. The code doesn't work on the SFC version nor have I ever seen an alternate code. At the Story/VS CPU/1pvs2p selection, press Left x3, Right x3, Left x7 then press Start.

I don't know if this was something specifically added for the USA release, or if it's present in the original Japanese version but just never found/published. It would be extremely great if you could find this!
