I think that's a great choice of a code name, but possibly "No Character Select Restrictions".
Always loved Tekken, that and Mortal Kombat has always been my favorite fighting games; never really got into Street Fighter.

Sorry Hannah, I did some checking up on them two games, sadly they are much older and do not have anti piracy mesures.

Unfortunately, I was unable to fix it. The closest I got was being able to move around after the game locked up, but I couldn't progress so that code would be useless to you. I even compared RAM Dumps, made a tool to list out the addresses in which the values changed before the game locked up and during its lock up, and found that the address 0x023B6258 is probably related to this event.

I'm assuming the developers of this game never finished writing the rest of this event; hence, the reason why it glitches up. Maybe Jhon591 could help you since this is more of his forte than it is mine (I don't fix games).

Let's start with HM: DS Cute. I downloaded the first save from GameFAQs, ran the game, and it starts me off in this room:

I'll work on the glitch fix when you give me some more details.

In order to initiate the Cooking Festival for Oven Category (which is where the glitch happens), you have to set the date and time with a AR Code (I don't know this code though) to:

Year 2, Spring 22, 10:00AM

Since it's Oven Category you need the Item Mod to create a dish. Here is the code for apple pie:

Press Select + L to activate
The item should show up in the first slot of your rucksack (it will erase any item that was placed there before)

Get to the beach (head south from the building you were in) (to exit the building you need to go down the stairs and south towards the mat (which is the door)) between 10-11am and then talk to the Gourmet, who is the big fat guy in Purple (yeah, I know, he's ugly as hell). Once he tells you the category (Oven), then exit the beach and reenter with the apple pie dish. Go into your rucksack and place the dish in your "hold" slot, which is the green slot to the left and talk to the Gourmet while holding the item. Enter the dish and then wait for the contest to begin. When the Gourmet gets to Ruby's dish, the screen will freeze up.

I don't really like Harvest Moon games so chances of me playing these games (in depth) are very slim. If you can provide a game save, I might look into it.

By the way, are you using codes that's causing this to happen? If the developers didn't fix this in any of the games, that's kinda messed up on Nintendo's part.

These glitches are in all HM DS and Cute copies out there. Yes, it is messed up that Nintendo/Natsume didn't fix this before the game went out, but nonetheless there it is.

I understand you don't play Harvest Moon, and I respect that, not everyone is into this type of game. But I really do hope that you'll make these codes because, if you do, anyone who owns these games just has to is plug in your code with an Action Replay and the game will be fixed. That's probably like the biggest contribution to a single gaming community that I can think of, fixing a Distributor's mistake. I for one would be extremely grateful if you did this and I know that anyone else who plays these games would feel the same. If this isn't enough to spur you on into making these codes, I don't know what will. But either way I'm grateful that you took the time to respond.

Do you need the save files from MY games, or will just any old save file do? I need to know because I don't know how to transfer DS save files to a Mac.

Requesting Codes to Fix Glitches: Harvest Moon DS and Harvest Moon DS Cute

Requesting Help To Fix Game Glitch

I would like to request, codes made from an Action Replay device, that will fix two glitches in the games that I'm playing. These games are: Harvest Moon DS and Harvest Moon DS Cute

And I need codes that will fix the Cooking Festival Glitches in these games. Here are the details:

Harvest Moon DS

The original North American version of the game has a glitch in this festival. The first contest you enter a dish in will automatically be saved and carried over to the next festival. After your first cooking festival you won't be able to enter it anymore.

Harvest Moon DS Cute

In HMDS Cute, there is a problem with its cooking festival. When you finally reach the Oven category the game will lock up during the judging of the recipe entries. You will have to skip the Oven cooking festival in order to proceed.

Both are the North American versions of the game.

If you can make codes using an Action Replay to fix these glitches, I would be eternally grateful.
