These new codes will force a value at the start of every level. Even if you lose some neighbors, you will still start each level with the specified number of neighbors.

            Zombies Ate My Neighbors (Genesis)

            HV2T-BAR0 +
            A72T-AAG2 +
            A32T-AA84
Will always have 7 neighbors to save for each level (instead of 10), even if some of them got killed in the previous level. Works for all levels except 1st level of a new game and 1st level when using a password.

            HV2T-BAR0 +
            AP2T-AAG2 +
            A32T-AA84
Will always have 3 neighbors to save for each level (instead of 10), even if some of them got killed in the previous level. Works for all levels except 1st level of a new game and 1st level when using a password.

EDIT: Should probably add this one as well...

            HV2T-BAR0 +
            BK2T-AAG2 +
            A32T-AA84
Will always have all 10 neighbors to save for each level, even if some of them got killed in the previous level.

EDIT 2: Changed the 3rd part of each code to branch over what I think is the instruction that adds bonus neighbors. Could have caused side effects.
Tony, I added an extra code (BLLA-AA8C) that branches over the instruction that adds an additional victim to RAM addresses FFFC68 and FFFC6A when you are awarded a bonus victim. When I was looking at the Start every level with 10 neighbors code that I made for the SNES version, I noticed that when I started the next level after getting a bonus victim, that the RAM values at the addresses for the number of victims was 11 for the next level. Your code has the same problem as well. It doesn't seem to cause any side effects since you can never have more than 10 neighbors, but to be on the safe side, I found the instruction that adds an additional victim for the SNES version and I did the same for the Genesis version.

Edit: Code also fixes the bonus victim issue with the 7 and 3 neighbor codes. Before you would start the next level with 8 and 4 neighbors after being awarded a bonus victim. With the additional code you would now start with 7 or 3 neighbors after being awarded a bonus victim.

Here are the updated codes. If you could edit them in the database, it would be appreciated:

            • terpsfan101, nice work on the codes. I'm not going to edit the existing codes since I didn't make the extra code. However, feel free to add them under your name with a note explaining the difference.

              • Easiest solution:

Add my extra line of code (BLLA-AA8C) underneath your codes for each of the "Will always have ?? neighbors to save for each level" codes. Then, add me as a co-hacker for those codes using the Hacker box.

If you scroll down to the Only Need 20000 points for a bonus victim code (click on the link below), you'll see that two hackers can share credit for one code:

                  ===========

This game uses a very difficult controller button sequence to activate the debug menu, and I could never get it to work. Spent more time making these codes than I'd like to admit. lol.

                  EDIT: Codes added.

Yeah, I could get the first part of the button sequence where you get the sound confirmation at the SEGA logo, but the second part, heh, forget about it. It requires way too much dexterity:

Also those codes in proper PAR form would be FFA94D:007F and FFA94D:007F + FFA94F:0055. Not that it really matters, since you noted they were made in Gens.
