  • i prefer Invincibility codes.

    anyways, i notice that Unicode did not add No Enemies codes by Mez for Mega Man games. i assume it would froze/*cough* crashed *cough* the game?

    so what kind of NES Emulators do you guys use? mine- Nestopia 20130609

        I doubt they would ever crash the game.
        Worst case scenario, might get stuck because a required enemy/boss didn't appear.
        It's best to use a code like that when you know when to disable it.

        As far as NES emulators, I use FCEUX.

        • @Rimsky82, you can tell me where PRG1 version codes for Castlevania for NES should be stored and where PRG0 are susporsed to go? I found a page "Castlevania (USA) (REV A)" on database, but it doesn't contain any codes so I don't know PRG0 or PRG1 codes are for there. I want to test Mezmorize's codes from post #178 and add them to the database.

                I made a few more but didn't post them since I didn't really test them.

                And nice work @Unicode on that PRG1 link I posted above, it didn't have a single code on it before.

                      Anyway, problem is in fact every time when I add a code to database, submit form ALWAYS sets hacker to my username, and I sometimes accidentally submit a code without changing hacker to the correct name.

                      So I would like to please rimsky82: please make for every user have ability to add codes the code database to REMEMBER THE LAST HACKER AND CODE FORMAT used when adding last code by them. I mean this:
                      • If I've added a code made by @Mezmorize for example to database, next time when I add any code, the submit form to HAVE REMEMBERED last hacker used, and highlight automatically the last hacker used (In case, @Mezmorize) instead to reset hacker back to my name @Unicode (or the other users to get their nickname back selected as hacker when they add a codes to database) every time when adding a code;
                      • When I add a code in Game Genie format, next time when I add a code, the submit form to HAVE REMEMBER GameGenie as last used format and highlight it automatically instead to reset it back ti RAW.


                      This would makes adding codes a least little faster since you won't need to constantly change code format and hacker name every time when adding (especially when adding a many codes made by one user and from one code format).                             • I'm not so sure anyone else would find that useful. If you're adding codes from different hackers, it might make things worse.

                              I don't want to overcomplicate the code anymore than it already is. Anyone else can weigh in on this feature request though.

                              • That feature would be very useful. I can't add other people's codes, but I have added massive contributor content to other sites and it's annoying as fuck having to select the "type" each time you want to add more of the same.

                                So I understand that if the people that add codes here think that's useful to have, then I give my support. It's boring enough to add a bunch of codes that you didn't do, it's even boring-er having to wrestle with it before doing so.
