            • Hi, Nolberto!

I had some friends ask me which NES emulator you were using for your codes. I said I THOUGHT you used mostly JNES, but I wasn't sure. I also reminded them to make sure they were using the same ROM versions that you were.

So far, I've had the fewest probs using the old FCEU version 0.98.12.win. Shoot, I can't get the latest JNES to work all the time with many of the older FCEU/PAR codes.

What NES emu do you recommend?

BTW, great job on the MAME codes! I have reminded some of my grandkids' friends who are impatient for codes that you hafta eat, sleep, pee, poo, work, etc. same as I do & can't live 24/7 in fronta a keyboard, same as I can't.
I come from a smart family...In the Civil War, my great-grandpa fought for the WEST.

              • I test all of the codes on this board with Nestopia, and about 99% of them work.

There's a new secret NES emualtor coming out soon, gonna beat'em all

                • @Phil The hammer: Most of the time I just test them with FCEUX 2.1.4 but when I know a code works and FCEUX gives me problems I use Nestopia, JNES or Virtua NES.

                  Code:

I second that. Hopefully it will be soon.

What NES emu do you recommend?
Nestopia is the most compatible NES emulator available. Also, I've never encountered a cheat code that wouldn't work for Nestopia that worked for another emulator. In my opinion and majority of people agree that Nestopia is by far the best NES emulator to play games and to use/test cheat codes. FCEUX is the best NES emulator to find/create cheat codes.

Just a thought... In my opinion, Spy Hunter is one of the most overated games of all-time. It's extremely boring and is just one endless level. I understand that it was "the first of it's time" blah blah, but I just don't experience any joy playing that game. And Spy Hunter 2 is even worse. But atleast Spy Hunter 2 is widely considered, by gamers, as one of the worst sequels ever made. So atleast that game is recognized as a terrible game.

                          • Requesting please a Game Genie code for:
                            • (NES) Contra
                              • Jump Higher
I'm suprised this code hasn't been made already. It must have slipped through the cracks.

                            • Hey Nolberto, since you enjoy the fighting games genre and the "Street Fighter" series, have you ever played "Super Gem Fighter - Mini Mix"? It's a good game.

Here is a description from History.dat:

A superb, abstract and humorous fighting game featuring miniaturized renditions from several Capcom fighting games; including the legendary "Street Fighter" series, as well as "Darkstalkers" and the little-known "Red Earthtake".

                              • Thanx, Nolberto, and you others, for your quick response to my question. I haven't used Nestopia before, but I'll go for it now.
