  • Hey Nolberto, what about an Invincibility cheat for the Arcade Cotton Boomerang? There's one already on the cheat.dat, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working.

      cheat.dat?? What version of MAME are you using? The invincibility code in cheat.zip works fine.

      Code:
      [COLOR="#0000FF"]Congo's Caper - SNES[/COLOR]

      Hit Anywhere
      DD6B-ADA4

      Jump in Midair

      • Yeah I know it's not called cheat.dat anymore, but it sounds better than cheat.zip :P

          I told you that you should update it, even if you didn't plan on playing it again (which you eventually did go back to it). I suggest you get the "version.ini" file from the Catlist download and place it in the "Folders" directory in MAMEUI. You will be able to see all the new, working games that you missed out on that came out on each new release. http://www.progettoemma.net/?catlist

          MAME is different than all the other retro game systems we play because there is always new games that will continue to be released/emulated. So it's neat to go back to it after an extended absence and see what new, working games are now available to play. But with the NES/SNES/Genesis/etc., all the games are already released/emulated.

          • If you are talking about the cheat.zip, then the last version was released in february, which is the same version I have. If you are talking about MAME, then I also have it updated. I usually update it if there's a fix to a game I wanted to play before.

            And I know what games have been added to MAME, I always check the release notes each week. Nothing worthy has been added in many years anyways.

                  How does this affect the score? Does the amount of points still change if behind the three point line, or on a bonus spot?

                    I changed the name to "Never Misses". The code doesn't change the way you score. It allows you to make shots from anywhere on the floor.
