If you suddenly see a lot of Xbox One promotion by big channels on YouTube, there may be a reason for it. Microsoft has been sending emails to such channels offering $3 per 1000 views for promoting the Xbox One.
It’s a known fact that PS4 has been sold out in various countries while there’s plenty of Xbox One’s available, and considering the sheer amount of people that flock to YouTube channels like PewDiePie and others, this may actually turn out to be an efficient way to advertise the system for Microsoft.
Many YouTubers have confirmed that they are indeed receiving such mails and seem pretty happy about it. Obviously.
