Trust me, this list is going to be rather lengthy (and discouraging).
1. Failure to save/trigger the auto-save function before starting your next match after proceeding to the next show = Game Freeze.
2. Breaking up stables/including non-stable members in tag matches = Game Freeze.
3. Giving a CAW or in-game superstar/diva a weight-class flag value of 0x05 (Ultra-heavyweight) = eventual Game Freeze (most likely during the next tag match featuring that character).
4. Hacking a CAW or in-game superstar/diva's attributes to higher than 100 in any or all categories = eventual Game Freeze (once again, during the next tag match featuring that character).
5. Hacking logos into one of the four "replaceable" required red layers (eyebrows, eyelashes, lips, teeth) in create-a-superstar mode = Game Freeze.
6. Though this technically doesn't freeze the game, forcing a weight-class change on one or both Unified Tag Champions = Tag Team Eraser Glitch (I've explained this glitch in great detail in previous posts).
7. Forcing a name change on a CAW or in-game superstar/diva immediately prior to the match featuring that character = eventual Game Freeze (during the match).
8. The most common Game Freeze of them all: the so-called "CAW in RTWM glitch", also known as the "Week 9" glitch.
There are also a few non-freeze glitches:
1. "Welding class" glitch--so called because the weapon you are attempting to hit your opponent with becomes "welded" to your hand for the rest of the match. This glitch occurs specifically with the steel chair and (more rarely) the ladder used in ladder/extreme rules/TLC matches. It happens when the AI opponent attempts to counter your weapon attack. However, once in a great while, the counter sort of backfires, and the animation for the AI blocking a punch is loaded instead of the yank-weapon-out-of-your-hands animation. I don't know exactly what causes the glitch, but when it happens, it makes the remainder of the match a bit...odd (your character sliding around as if on an invisible flying carpet whilst attempting to pin/submit his/her opponent).
2. "Statue" glitch--so called because when certain conditions are met (and they are rare), your opponent (or sometimes you AND your opponent) will be frozen in place, freeze-frame style. This most commonly occurs after Irish-whipping your opponent into a chair lodged in the corner, then attempting to grapple them while they are falling backward. Also occurs when incorrect move values are inserted into a character's moveset. As there is no actual move associated with the incorrect value, if that move is attempted, the result is both you and your opponent becoming frozen in place, freeze-frame style. This also can occur if you are foolhardy enough to assign a weight class EVEN HIGHER than 5 to a character, then use them in a table match. If you attempt a table finisher with such a character, he/she will suddenly warp in such a way that the opponent will disappear entirely, and the applicant of the finisher will be run through with the table, and be frozen in place.
3. Tag DQ Glitch--this one involves your AI-controlled partner/opponent's partner (more often YOUR partner, unfortunately), where he/she suddenly can't figure out how to leave the ring (gets caught in a leaning-against-the-ropes loop), and the ref counts five, and DQs the offending party (usually YOUR team). The solution to this problem could take two forms: either simply restart the match (rendering the result null and void), or turn DQ off in the match rules prior to starting the match.
4. "Impossible Kick-out" Glitch--this glitch involves the kick-out meter. When the glitch happens, you could hit the correct portion of the kick-out meter, but the AI will siimply ignore that fact, and the kick-out won't take place. That's right--the AI is actually capable of disabling your character's ability to kick out of pins! This is rarely seen on "lower" difficulty levels (as in default-sliders Legend difficulty). The simple solution is to have a no-pinfalls CWCheat code at the ready (this code also disables/resets the out-of-ring 10 count, and possibly also the 10-count during Last Man Standing matches), equipped with a button activator (I have it set to the Square button when I use this code).
As you can see, this game is full of glitches, and requires some foreknowledge as to what trips the game-freeze "land-mines" and how to avoid them. If you can avoid the land-mines, the game is an awesomely realistic simulator (moves-wise, anyway) of the "art" known as professional wrestling.
