Just a little point from an outsiders perspective, it would be nice if there was a run down of what has been a achieved at the end of each week or maybe just a link to the topic that was made for the weeks activities. Obviously at the time it is quite easy to see what topic is meant to be used and what has been achieved but looking at it (this topic) doesn't really reveal much.

I'm away to see if I can find some of the topics that are mentioned throughout.

EDIT - Actually it is really easy to find them as they have standardised titles and are dated as well, how thoughtful

To allow other people to take the reigns of this activity in my absence, and also to allow myself to be lazy, I think we should use each Hacking System Target thread to poll for the next hacking target as well. That way, it doesn't require an admin such as myself to remove the old poll, and create a new one each time. We can still use this thread to suggest new targets, and discuss the hacking targets in general, but we can move on to a new target and poll for the next one in the same thread, with the result of any one of us being able to make a new Hacking Target thread once Sunday hits and it's time to move on.

    Agree?

I think you're encountering a slope that looks like a background element, and you slide off of it
I don't think that is it. It happens on the first level of the game when you have to keep jumping onto high platforms. It's very frustrating and it just don't make sense why that happens sometimes.

I vaguely remember something like that, though it's been years since I played the game. I think you're encountering a slope that looks like a background element, and you slide off of it. The game probably detects a slope even when you're rising from a jump, consequently pushing you right back down. Might not be a bad thing to fix with a code or two, to keep that behavior from happening when you're still rising.

Quick question regarding that... why in W&W2, lets say I jump to the left, sometimes in midair I will automatically be pushed back to the right in a midair sliding motion. It is very frustrating. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and why this happens?

Which system? I imagine a flying cheat for the N64 version would be cool.

I hope W&W2 wins out (it looks like it might).

I hope (NES) Little Nemo: The Dream Master will be the next hacking target. That game is great. It is such a gem.

This week, we only have three votes. I propose we postpone the next hacking target until we've either come up with more interesting games to hack, or gotten more votes for the existing games.

Illusion Of Gaia has taken the cake for this week. I've created the new thread, and the new poll in this one. We shall need some fresh suggestions soon!

Looks like The Legend of Zelda, for the NES, is our next target. I've created the new thread, rebuilt this poll, and voted. Let's get hacking!
