  • Code Submission Tool 0.81.0

I've been working on a code submission tool to help people add codes to the site securely.

This is a 0.81 beta release. It's meant to allow people to make use of it, while knowing that some lingering errors may still exist in the program. The intention behind using this tool instead of just posting the codes is that the codes are blanketed in the site, available to you for addition, or even deletion before they get posted, and available to staff code adders to approve or remove.

One of the features that it has is an automatic code formatting option. If your list is compatible with the built in options, you can easily add codes automatically. If the codes look wrong after converting, you may want to consider using a different code format.

To make the program function, you need a forum account.

Then, you'll need to view and edit your settings here:

First, get the UserID and Confirmation strings for the program(confirmation changes with every options page view). Plug the info into the program, and it should say you're logged in.
Lastly, pick a hacker name, put it into the provided text box, and "Submit Changes".

Now, when you add games/codes/sections, there's a chance that you'll actually end up having your codes posted. Without an admin-approved name, there isn't even an option for adding codes from a user.

msinet.ocx will likely also be needed. Installation instructions for Windows Vista are included, as it has User Access Control issues with getting it ready. Otherwise, the instructions should work fine without running as an administrator.

Here's a link to the VB file you will most likely need:

Just put it in C:\system32\ or wherever your system folder is.
