I have found some niffty things for the pocket PC.

Todays post will be a link to a stable MIDI player to the Pocket PC.

It was relatively easy to install but it would have been easier if it had been a .cab. Also finding the timidity.cfg was annoying but was found and put on the / of the device.

for those of you who don't know a .cab is like a .msi or installer.exe for Windows CE. you can bypass having to sync and have a windows computer by using a .cab.

WIFIFOFUM

WIFI fo fum is one of the best wardriving tools you can have on a pocketPC.

it is avalible as a MSI installer which requires a windows computer with .net 2.0+ installed.

The lower number the stronger the signal in my experience. most of the time any number bigger than -82 is either unstable or non connectible. there is also a setting to have it only detect unencrypted signals as well which helps weed out some fake signals like ssid: FREEPUBLICWIFI.

There is a feature to have it work with a GPS unit on GPS capable pocket PCs and map out the signals. i have not used this feature because i don't have a GPS unit yet for the pocket PC.

This product is a must have for any wifi capable pocketPC.

When you say, "the lower the number the stronger the signal", are using a layman's interpretation of numbers (where -90 is "bigger" than -82) or an accurate interpretation?

I haven't used my PocketPC since I left Florida. But I mainly used it as a remote focus unit, and to track gigs, and I haven't done much theater since I moved.

heh. thanks for correcting me. the biggest the number (closest to 0) the better the signal.
