Nicely done. That's how I felt when I passed the Security+, heh. After I'm finished inprocessing at my new job, which will pay for whatever cert courses and exams I request (it's unlimited!), I'll go take Server+, which shouldn't be a problem at all.

Just passed 70-620 yesterday and achieved the certification MCTS: Windows Vista – Configuration. Now, 70-291 is the last hurdle before becoming a MCSA. Hopefully, this Microsoft crap is going to be over very soon... I want to do LPIC-1 asap.

Nice @ Vista config. I'm going to go take those after CCNP and the other two COMPTIA exams, just to show I have a basic grasp of Vista (and I'll probably learn a few things along the way, anyway).

Yesterday I passed 70-291 which makes me a MCSA, finally. I'm not interested in doing the other MCSE exams. I guess LPIC-I is next...

Heh, nicely done. I've really gotten sidetracked from certifications lately. Having been forced to take the prerequisite courses for it for work, I might end up just taking CISSP before I do CCNP.

To achieve my next goal, the certifications LPIC-1 and Ubuntu Certified Professional (UCP), I have to pass the exams LPI 101, LPI 102, and Ubuntu 199.

As my future job is all about Linux system development on Ubuntu, the certifications should be quite useful (not like the shitty MCSA).

Cool. I've finally started studying again for CCNP. I'm also considering getting CISSP, though I'm not sure how useful it will be.

I'm really looking forward to studying for the LPIC exams. This time, I actually want to know more about a topic (Linux administration), and not just own the certifications to improve my resume.

Nice; I envy that. At least CCNP is somewhat interesting, if not something I specifically wanted to learn about. I will definitely be able to use the knowledge in the real world, but I probably wouldn't study it if I had a billion dollars, and didn't have to work anymore

I'd like to pursue a programming certification at some point, for the very reason you stated above...

The funny thing is that I'm working as a developer, but am interested in certifications related to computer administration. You, on the other hand, are an admin interested in doing a programming certification...

Heh, that IS funny; I hadn't even considered that.

i cant seem to find a local place i can get the certs from that nis easly acessable by a person with no car. all the ones i have found are 2-3 miles from any bus stop and even then it would require me to make 2-4 transfers. that is too much wasted time and time = money i do hope that next fall i can start on my A+ if i can get up early enough to get to the damned school.
Cant stand the 32 bit and above gaming.
