  • Razer to pull plug on Ouya gaming console June 25th

Razer, which acquired Ouya in 2015, said Wednesday that it would end support for the console on June 25th. After that, it'll deactivate accounts and players won't be able to access games on the server or games they've previously purchased. They also won't be able to buy new games. Players will, however, still have access to downloaded games.

Players will want to use any funds still in their accounts before the shutdown, since they have no cash value, Razer says.

I keep forgetting Ouya ever existed. They've had almost no advertising ever beyond the 1 time they mentioned they made it. I don't even know a single game title for it.

Said it once, will keep saying it: Ouya was a scam.

Here, let's build a console, sell it for $99, and offer ZERO advertisement regarding said console or any games thereof, and see how many people blindly stumble onto its existence?

That's pretty much the premise that the Ouya had. And boy, WHAT a name. How do you even pronounce it? "Wee-yah"? "Oo-yah?"
          Tempus fugit, ergo, carpe diem.

Time flies, therefore, seize the day.
