Nintendo files patent for GameBoy Classic

In Japan the 15th of September Nintendo has filed a Patent for the GameBoy classic in Japan. They have not officially said anything about it yet but we will have to wait and see. Various sources

Who knows? we might get the GameBoy Classic before we even know it.

Very interesting. Can't wait to see what it will have.

Probably capable of playing anything from the original Game Boy lineup all the way to the latest GBA games. Not sure if it's going to feature cartridges again (probably not), or be a self-contained proprietary handheld with built-in games.

Oh God, if they do a GBA Classic, and it turns out to be hackable to add more games, I'm in.

Pretty exciting. Probably pokemon, castlevania adventure, and super mario land.

Chances are this Game Boy Classic will be hackable, just as the NES and SNES Classic are. Nintendo hates hackers and pirates, but sucks at protecting their systems from hackers and pirates.

EVERY system Nintendo has ever produced (yes, even including the Switch) has been successfully hacked to one degree or other.
