Saw that yesterday, interesting retrospective. It was the first game i bought for the PS2. The Snake chapter was an amazing tech demo, the Raiden chapter was crap.

It was the first PS2 game I played when it was out, and I didn't have a memory card so I played until the colonel started saying weird stuff about the game getting hot or whatever and telling me to go outside. I thought it was some weird thing warning me of a console overheat or something and turned it off and learned I was tricked.

I really liked the visuals in that ship area and breaking the glass windows for some reason. It had great atmosphere.
