Current Generation Hacking Is Too Tedious (And A Game Industry Rant)

If the host turns on certain cheats, they affect all players, so those are rarely a bad thing. If a non-host player does, codes usually only apply to them allowing them to be very annoying. When the PS3 was first cracked, people were loving Black Ops or Black Ops 2, whichever just came out at the time. Tons of crazy servers with many interesting things. Servers cost money but games get boring without modding them. They just keep using consoles to milk money out of people, monopolizing mods as DLC, and putting in endless pointless things to purchase and micro-transactions.

If there were separate servers for special cheaters that provide interesting modifications to games that affect all players without just throwing in the individuals that go cheap for infinite health and that stuff to ruin it, it could be fun. It'll never happen on consoles, look forward to only pcs doing that.

I can see them not wanting cheaters online, but I'd think they could have separate servers for cheaters too. Not everyone is cheating in a bad way, some people like to mod various settings. They'll make a server where everyone can run fast and jump high along with modifying other unique settings to make the game more interesting, and there's nothing sinister with that.

That actually sounds like a great idea. I would be really fun.

However, it will never happen because servers cost money. Having a separate server just for cheaters is not optimal. Also, not everyone knows how to hack, so the server would only be for a select few.

The PS3 can be annoying to start on, but I'm used to it.
1. Check that you have a model that can be downgraded to official Sony firmware 3.55 on a wiki page.
2. If so, either purchase what is needed and do some soldering on your own to downgrade or ship it off to somebody to do it for you.
3. Install custom firmware.
4. Convert console to DEX.
5. Convert kernel to DEX.
6. Hunt down leaked ProDG.
7. Download NetCheat, set it up correctly.
8. Convert game executable to debug version.
9. Play game, find codes.

You'll only need to do steps 1-7 once. 8 and 9 are every game, but not tricky. Rebug has broken functionality with PSN games while PS3Ita 4.50 works with all of them. Some games are made in a special manner that PS3Ita 4.50 can't run them, Rebug has a special kind of setup you can do to bluff your way into a game that usually refuses to boot with debug mode settings on.

You're not supposed to be hacking any game. Much less games today that usually have some sort of online community.

Anyone else think that current gen hacking is too tedious, and that we have to go to extreme measures just to do it?

I'm sick of having to jump through hoops just to hack a basic fucking code for a next gen console or handheld.
I was thinking about this a while ago. Why is it that I have to bust open your fucking console just to hack infinite money, in a game I bought with my own money on a console I bought with my own money? (from Wal-Mart no less)

Especially since you mother fuckers have the balls to charge me for micro-transactions and DLC to unlock (hard mode) in your games.
I remember when I was able to go to any retail store and pick up a Gameshark or Action Replay and no one had any problems.
Now I have to hack your goddamn console to hack these codes and play my games region free.

Hacking codes for the 3DS is fucking RIDICULOUS!
Even using those codes is ridiculous! You're telling me, I have to hack my 3DS, spoof my web browser, type in a certain address on my 3DS, use the camera feature, and then take a picture of a QR code?! Whatever happened to buying a cheat device, turning it on and just selecting your codes and starting your game?

All these companies are doing is making me want to pirate their games, why not pirate your games? I already had to hack your console/handheld just to use some cheat codes, so I will gladly pirate your games as well.
If you don't want me to hack your console, then just let us use a freaking cheat device, and for the love of god, Nintendo, make your games region free!
You can also tell me that they are blocking cheat devices for online games.

What online games? Oh, you mean the ones that run like shit because of the poor servers??? The ones that get hacked by fucking lonely teenagers like, Lizard Squad? Or if you're Nintendo, and especially retarded, don't take care of your severs or maintain them?
Halo The Master Chief Collection has been out for how long now? And the multiplayer is still almost unplayable! Super Smash Bros 4 has been out for how long now? And it has some of the worst internet lag out of any game I have ever seen.

And then you fuckers sit here, and shovel out broken games to me like: Assassin's Creed Unity, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Thief, Battlefield 4, Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric, are you kidding me? I find it funny that you won't let me hack your games, when they are already fucking broken!!!!
I am so happy I bought Gateway, because it's a big FUCK YOU to the gaming industry.
