Why do people waste money on Sony Laptops? I've repaired many over the years and they have subpar parts and many times inferior to the parts in a much cheaper laptop, you're paying for the Sony brand name and now you don't have windows 10 support.

Sony Warns Against Upgrading To Windows 10
On the 29th of July 2015, Microsoft officially launched the long-awaited Windows 10 operating system. Current Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 users were given free upgrades, which saw a rush to upgrade to Windows 10. It looked like Microsoft's #UpgradeYourWorld campaign was working out.
However, it looks like Sony users will have to wait a while longer. Sony has issued warnings to VAIO users not to upgrade to Windows 10 due to compatibility issues.
It looks like Sony is having trouble upgrading the software and drivers for their VAIO family of laptops and desktops. As such, VAIO users will not be able to upgrade from Windows 8/8.1 to Windows 10 until sometime in October or November. Take a look :
VAIO users using Windows 7 will likely to have wait even longer. Sony doesn't even have an idea when they can deliver compatible applications and drivers for those older VAIO PC's.
So there you have it - Sony VAIO PC's are not Windows 10-compatible yet. If you know anyone using a Sony VAIO laptop or desktop PC, make sure they don't jump the gun. They will still have a full year to upgrade to Windows 10 for free!
