This is the first photo of Bruce Jenner as a female. Her name is Caitlyn and she appears on the July cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

The magazine tweeted out the photo just after noon Monday and received more than 13,000 retweets in just 30 minutes. Shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, Jenner tells the magazine in a behind the scenes video that once this cover comes out, “Caitlyn is free.”
“Bruce always had to tell a lie,” Jenner says in the video. “He always had a secret, from morning until night. Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets.”

The video also shows Jenner getting ready for the cover shoot at her Malibu home, with the glam squad (as the Kardashians call it) working on Caitlyn’s hair, makeup and wardrobe.

Bruce Jenner opened up about his gender transition in an interview with Diane Sawyer in April. During the interview, he was hesitant to reveal what the female Jenner would look like or what name she’d go by. Vanity Fair introduces Caitlyn for the first time, with the story and photos hitting the newsstands on June 9.
