You can play anything you want. I don't know exactly what went on in your life that you decided to quit, then come back and now are asking us to tell you what to do or play.

Just have the games you want, on whatever medium you want, and play them whenever you want. You don't have to force yourself to play anything you don't want to play. Just go do other things in your life, watch movies, go play outside, do whatever you want and when you feel like it, play some games.

I don't know how old you are, but from your game selection I'm going to assume you must be at least 30 years old. So, haven't you played all of those games a bunch of times now? Why do you feel that need of having to play the same classics?

Do you feel that you are "addicted" to games and you find yourself spending all your time playing and then feeling bad about it?

I play games in my collection. I only use emulators to hack. I have a NES devboard in one of my NES's, but hacking on it is too slow.

Do what you want, Sly. Do it legitimately if you can.

Are you experiencing Separation Anxiety from games?

Mods: non-intrusive methods via memcard exploit, cheat device, or both combined.

ROMs: there are legit releases of them via the various collection discs (Sega, Namco, etc). However you obtain them is your own business, man. Heck, you can get a Wii and use the Virtual Console. There are many options.

You did mention not obtaining them illegally (before your edit). So, funds will be necessary.

                    Alrighty then.

Well, the top 5 PS1 emu's I've seen used by others are the following (in no particular order): ePSXe, pSX (no plugins), Xebra/Arbex (no plugins; Arbex doesn't require BIOS), no$psx (no plugins) and between PCSX-R or Mednafen. As for PCSX-R's compatibility, I wouldn't know, as I've used it once or twice. There are users of each emu who make compatibility lists. The Ngemu forums are a good start.

Personally, I value the game more than the way it was obtained. Money doesn't determine that value. I've bought some bad games as well as obtaining them through other means. Same game, just a different process of getting it. If you love a game, you might want to consider throwing money at the developers to help them out if you have it. Much of the older game developers aren't going to receive that from Virtual Console for example. It's a personal decision and one that should be decided by you. If you want to play the game, then by all means, play it, and make sure you enjoy it. If you are not enjoying the game in the way you have obtained it, then maybe you need to obtain it differently? If it's time you are wasting, then I can't help you there.

thanks, it is impossible to play PS1 ISOs without plugins like Arbex, pSX and no$psx

Um no it's not. I use the PSX emulator and all you need is the bios, which I wouldn't call a plugin.
