Esc0rtd3w, one of the developers behind Ps3Xploit, has confirmed that firmware 4.83 breaks some components of PS3Xploit.
It is not completely sure at this point whether this release is an actual patch for the hack, or if it just happens to break some of the things leveraged by the exploit, in a way that could be recovered or bypassed by the PS3Xploit team. Experience tells us however that it is very likely there’s an intentional patch against PS3Xploit here, today the only way to run hacks on most PS3s.
Bottom line, as always, if you want to keep your PS3 hacked, do not update to the latest firmware, and stay tuned for more details.
