You know one way you can avoid any potential malware with Cheatengine? Compile it yourself from source. https://github.com/cheat-engine/cheat-engine here is the github page and on the page there are the windows compile instructions.

note it will not compile on linux or macos anymore.

Not the first hundred times I have installed anything bro. Not saying I could not have missed it but, I
d not see "anywhere" to uncheck any of the add on stuff (like you usually would see). Hit the back button several times ect. I will not say it is impossible that I I just missed it but, I do not see how. I thought it was odd that there was no option to uncheck any of it

Don't take this the wrong way, but it's a case of "read before clicking Next". My installation showed a bookingdotcom ad, had to untick the box.

Cheat engine comes with malware now?

Install forces you to install shit like world of tanks, ad-aware, and wizip with no option to not install those things (says just uninstall it later). Had one hell of a time uninstalling that crap, changed my homepage and some other stuff. going to run a malware scan. Isn't this Darkbytes program? Shit, everybody knows cheatengine, if you need money just charge for the download. I have paid for other programs that I like.
Working...
